Looking for Post-Doctoral Fellow in Immunology to work on Regulatory B cells

Description: Post-Doctoral Fellow needed to spearhead an NIH-funded project on REGULATORY B CELLS.  A remarkable potent subset of ProB cells found in the bone marrow contains Breg precursors that can protect mice from autoimmunity (NOD, EAE) and prevent allograft rejection upon transfer of only ~50,000 cells to wild-type mice (Korniotis, Nat Commun 2016).  This work provides the first-ever evidence of a true Breg lineage.  We will further characterize these cells and their progeny to identify genetic control of this lineage and their relationship to recently described TIM-1+B cells (Xiao Cell reports 2020) through RNAseq and ATACseq and further identify their mechanism of action in autoimmune and transplant models.
